Oh Miss BB!

Miss BB forgot to put the homework sheet for half term in the folders! I knew you would all be upset about that, so here it is!

Maths - Telling the time
Can you spend this holiday practising telling the time. Make sure that you recognise o clock and half past. See if you can recognise 1/4 past and 1/4 to as well.

Talk about
Have you any Percy the Park Keeper books at home or can you find out about any in the library? What characters does Nick Butterworth write about?

If you see someone in 2/1B, could you tell them about their homework for me please!

Thanks, Miss BB

We are all really fit now!

In the style of Andy Goldsworthy

Here are our Andy Goldsworthy inspired artworks using nature.

We looked at some Art work by the artist Andy Goldsworthy. He uses lots of circles, spirals, arches and holes in his work.

He uses things he finds around him. The work has to be photographed because it will not last.

Do you like the Art work we have created? We are very proud of our work and are waiting for dry weather so we can use things we find outside to make some more Art. Watch this space.

Feeders and Fat balls

We've been re- using and recycling to help nature. We are doing our bit for the environment.

We had to follow all the instructions in the right order. Kieran found poking the string through and tying the knots tricky.

Katie mixed the seeds into the fat, then had the messy job of packing the mixture into her pot.

Take care when you cut the bottle, you don't want to cut yourself but neither do you want to leave sharp edges for the birds to injure themselves.

Lukasz and Joseph's feeders are now ready for some seeds and to be hung in a safe place.

Clay pots.

We've each made a clay dish to put old tea bags in before they get put in the compost bin.

Paper Making

We made our own recycled paper. It was fun, we had to use a soggy paper pulp and squeaze all the water out.

We added sparkly glitter to some and put coloured paper in others.

It felt really squelchy in your fingers!

Free Choice Fun

We do lots of learning and problem solving in our Free Choice time.

Here Wembley Stadium is under construction.
We used the instruments to represent different things like a ticking clock, a windy day or a washing machine.

A Big Tidy Up!

We had a big tidy up in Roydon and collected lots of litter. We made some graphs to show what kind of litter people dropped.
